Xiaren WU, MD

Co-Founder/Chief Science Officer

Xianren graduated from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai in 1986, earned his Master of Medicine in 1989 after completion of a three-year, research-oriented program, and was trained in clinical anesthesiology. He was an anesthesiologist in Shanghai for 7 years.


Since 1996, he was a full-time researcher in resuscitation medicine, working as a research fellow in Basel, Switzerland, for 3½ years, and 6 years at the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research, University of Pittsburgh.


His research has focused on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), hemorrhagic shock and emergency preservation and resuscitation (EPR) technologies.


 Xianren is currently a trauma anesthesiologist at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and an active participant in EPR-Technologies’ research and development strategies.
